Due to the small volume of the work, the author has to accurately select every word, every phrase, to focus on the most important thing. Taffy was famous for her satirical poems and feuilletons, she was a regular employee of the Satyricon magazine. The satire of the writer was very original: she was witty, but completely silent and even compassionate. She simply, figuratively and very funny spoke of close and understandable to everyone: about love, about service, about art, about money, about religion and much more.
Nadezhda Taffy does not impose his thoughts to the reader. She simply shows life through a funny situation, and he draws conclusions himself. The lack of moralization is a big plus of its humorous fiction. Nadezhda Alexandrovna could not accept the new realities of post -revolutionary Russia, and in the year emigrated to Paris, where she continued her literary activity. The support of talented compatriots was very important for her: Zinaida Gippius, Ivan Bunin, Dmitry Merezhkovsky.
In the works of Taffy of this period, former humor and lightness disappeared. They were replaced by deeper, psychological stories in which sad motives prevailed.
