Pavel Burtsev biography
We recall the labor biography and achievements of the former boss SMAV Pavel Semenovich Burtsev. He graduated from the school of factory training at the metro-building and at the age of 17 he got to the construction of the Moscow subway. He began the reinforcing chief, was an isolist, a concrete, a passer, a cluster. Burtsev combined the work at the construction site with studies at the rabfak.
In the year he received a diploma of the Moscow Institute of Railway Engineers with a degree in Bridges and Tunnel. Following this, Pavel Semenovich was appointed head of the shift, then-the head of the site, the chief engineer, and later-the head of the SMU-8 of the Metrostroy. At the same time, Burtsev had to take the exam for technical maturity more than once. He was an engineer of the creative search as the head of the site Pavel Burtsev developed a new way to build distillation tunnels, which in the future applied at the Kaluga radius.
At the Oktyabrskaya stations, Radial and Kitay-Gorod "Square Nogin" used combined structures of tunnels with a flat tray.
By the way, “Oktyabrskaya” thanks to new technologies became the first deep -laying station with a smaller diameter of tunnels than they were built earlier. A universal shield that can go with a high speed not only in bulk, but also in soft rocks, also the invention of Burtsev. Its creation was carried out simultaneously with the construction of the Zhdanovsky radius.
The technology was adopted by foreign tunnelians: during the construction of the Berlin metro and collectors in Washington. The work was nominated for the State Prize, which Burtsev became a laureate in the year. Under the leadership of Pavel Semenovich at the Zamoskvoretsky radius, a world record of high -speed passing was set -, 6 meters per month. In caring for workers about Burtsev, they said: “It will punish for business, but in trouble will always help.” Despite the high professional exactingness and severity in the work, Pavel Semenovich took care of the safety of labor and domestic conditions of employees.
Contemporaries recall his modesty. Being a deputy of the Moscow City Council, Burtsev and his family lived in a unfinished room, showing solidarity with workers. He understood that good deeds were helping to solve people. In the year, Pavel Burtsev was appointed head of the department A. according to the memoirs of his daughter, he was invited to lead the construction of the Asuan dam and the Baikal-Amur highway.
But health did not allow Pavel Semenovich to go on such distant business trips. Burtsev died on October 22. He was buried in the Kuntsevsky cemetery in Moscow. A commemorative plate at the Street Street station with the name of Burtsev is an interesting fact that it was he who opposed the deep laying during the construction of the Philoye line. In these places, during the time of Catherine II, they buried the dead from the plague.
The construction of the metro at a depth could be unsafe for people's health.
