From the first days of the war he hit the front line, fought in the ranks of the illustrious Panfilov division, was wounded in a battle near Yelney. After the hospital, he returned to duty and hit the Leningrad Front. He himself asked to free him from work in the newspaper and directing him to the front line.

So Georgy Suvorov became the commander of a platoon of armor-piercing tanks. There was no more hot and deadly work at the front. His inspired, calling verses were published in the newspapers of the Leningrad Front, and the soldiers passed them to each other, reading between short breaks before the battle.
